Under 18's at Oasis Church Bath
Find out what we have on offer for those who are under the age of 18 at Oasis Church Bath.
Oasis Kids
Oasis Youth
Oasis Youth usually meet together twice a month during church on a Sunday. During our sessions we chat about topics and issues that impact us and the world around us. The group is about equipping young people to be able to live out what they believe as people of faith, combining activism and social justice with a progressive understanding of the bible. We also run a fortnightly Youth Micro Hub on a Thursday evening for those in year 9+. Oasis Youth is a safe place to be who you are, and ask the big questions. Kid's Corner
For parents of babies, toddlers and children who want to stay in the service on Sundays, we have a kids corner with sofas which is reserved each Sunday for their use. This area has a child sized table and chairs as well as a storage unit full of toys, books and games. Feel free to bring your own toys and activities to use as well! For a more private/quiet space we also have our ‘quiet room’ available during the service, which has a window and audio feed from the main church space so you can still see and hear what’s going on in the service.
Intergenerational Opportunities
Whilst we love providing separate groups for our kids and young people, we’re also really passionate as a church about providing opportunities for all ages to get to know each other. Once a term we have a community lunch where we all sit and share food together. We also have occasional all-age services, particularly at special times in our church calendar like Christmas and Easter. When we share communion during a service we often invite the kids and youth to come upstairs and join in. Finally, we often have social events and gatherings throughout the year that allow us to be all together and have fun, such as our annual ‘Potatoes in the Park’ gathering for Bonfire Night.
Keeping children and young people safe is really important to us, and we have comprehensive safeguarding policies, procedures and training in place for all of our staff and volunteers. To find out more go to www.oasisbath.org/safeguarding
