Trauma Informed Yoga

We’ve been really privileged to have partnered with Bath Mind and Active Stillness to offer Trauma Informed Yoga Classes. The classes have been an incredible success and we’re currently in the process of trying to secure further funding so we can run them again.

Our classes offer a safe, supportive space where people can learn emotional regulation skills through connection with the breath and increased body awareness. This supports people to move out of survival mode, to a place where they can begin to heal. When we do run the classes, places will be via referral only, primarily through our partner organisations. If you’d like to be considered for this or put on a waiting list for any available places, please email welcome@oasisbath.org

Our yoga classes are delivered by Anna Caldwell from Active Stillness (visit www.activestillness.org to find out more), and supported by a Bath Mind staff member who participates in each class and is present for anyone who needs support or signposting. We’re really grateful to the Bath Half Marathon Fund for funding two rounds of these classes in the last couple of years!

Very often mental health services and wellbeing activities are just not affordable or accessible for those on low incomes. We really want to change that and we’re really pleased that because of the funding we’ve received we’ve been able to offer significantly subsidised places for participants. Watch this space as we hope to have some news soon about funding!
