Projects (old)

We're involved in loads of stuff!

We piloted a new community project this summer, collecting donations of new and good quality second hand school shoes to redistribute to families in need. We collected over 75 pairs of shoes and gave away 50 pairs to local families! Click through to the Facebook page for more info.

We run Make Lunch – a food related initiative aiming to reduce holiday hunger by offering free nutritious meals to children and their families in the school holidays. You can watch one of our Make Lunch founders giving a talk about the project at TEDx Bath here.

We host Coffee with Cops… getting local residents together with the police to discuss the issues that matter in the local community. Check our Facebook page for details of the next event.

We’re proud to host many support groups in our building, including for those in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous hold meetings at Oasis Church Bath on almost every day of the week. To find out details and times of meetings visit Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. We also support the work of Julian House.

We run a monthly support group for Kinship Carers with BANES Council Family Placement Team. This important group enables kinship carers to meet others in a similar situation to get support, encouragement and advice.

At Oasis Bath, we take the current climate emergency very seriously. At some of our Sunday meetings we help each other to discuss and live out a more environmental lifestyle, hear about a local area collaboration (CAFE BANES – Christian Action For the Environment) and think about activism with the Keynsham plastic attack and #YouthStrike4Climate. We’re also proud to host Extinction Rebellion for their weekly meetings.

For the last few years, we have run a reverse advent calendar which more and more people outside our church have been joining in with: Give a Gift 2019.

Rob Trickey, who is part of the Church Steering Group at Oasis Church Bath, was instrumental in starting up Street Pastors in Bath.

Our church building is home to Bath YFC.

We have many more community projects in the pipeline…watch this space!
