Oasis: Pantry
Oasis Pantries are part of a network of affordable food providers in Bath, supplying low cost, high quality food each week to local residents.
Oasis run two regular community pantries in Bath, one in the city centre and one in Southdown, and an additional winter-only pantry in the city centre.
Our city centre pantries are in Oasis Church Bath on the Paragon.
Our year-round pantry is open on Thursday from 1-3.30pm (closed on 28th December).
Our winter pantry is open on Friday from 11.30am-2.30pm from December to March (closed on 29th December).
Our Roundhill Pantry in Southdown is open every Monday from 1.30 – 3.30pm, at the Roundhill Centre on Mount Road. We’re really pleased to be partnering with Lux, Southdown Methodist Centre and St Barnabas Church to run this pantry. Please note: There will be no pantry session on 4th December 23, and the sessions on 11th and 18th December will be held in St Barnabas Church, just across the road from the Roundhill Centre, due to building works in the centre. There are no sessions on 25/12 or 1/1/24, then we’re back at Roundhill from 8/1/24.
Am I eligible?
To become a member and get the full benefits of our Pantry you need to:
- Be on a household income of less than £18,000 a year
- Live in Southdown, Whiteway, Twerton or Kingsway to attend our Roundhill Pantry;
- Live in Walcot, Lansdown, Kingsmead or the area between Dolemeads and Cleveland Bridge between the A36 (Pultney Road) and the river, to come to our City Centre pantry.
- We will also take referrals from local professionals and organisations, where we are your closest pantry.

What can I expect?
There will be a selection of fresh, chilled and store cupboard food and toiletries available each week for you to choose from.
Our volunteers are always on hand to help you shop, and can let you know what we have in stock each week. We often have visitors from other local organisations drop into our sessions, who are available to chat about how they may be able to support you. These include organisations involved in employment and skills, financial and budgeting support, support for families with children, along with others. Watch our video by clicking on the button below, which explains exactly how the pantry works.

How much does it cost?
There are two membership levels:
Level 1 membership, £3 per week – aimed at smaller households, typically you choose around 6 – 8 items items.
Level 2 membership, £5 per week – for that you can select approximately 10-12 items, so we’d recommend that if you’re shopping for more people.
You’ll be able to pay by cash, debit or credit card. This weekly fee covers chilled food, store cupboard foods, toiletries and household items. We provide fruit and vegetables, and some shorter dated items, for free, on top of this fee. This means the total value of your shopping will be around £20 – £35, but will only cost you £3 or £5. The selection of items changes each week based on what we receive in our delivery.

Volunteering with us
If you would like to volunteer with either Oasis Pantry then we’d love you to get in touch! We need volunteers to help us pack away our food delivery and set up each week, as well as people to help our members when we’re open. Just get in touch with us at pantry@oasisbath.org.

What you need to do…
If you’d like to become a member of one of our pantries, you’ll need to fill in our referral form. Click on the button below for the pantry you need. We’re currently accepting members for our Roundhill Pantry on a Monday, self referrals for our city centre winter pantry on a Friday, and a small number of professional referrals for our Thursday afternoon pantry in the city centre where your client cannot attend on a Friday (please note – for the winter pantry your membership runs until the end of March. We cannot guarantee a pantry place beyond March). If you’re a professional working with someone who is interested in the pantry you can also fill in this form on their behalf.
