Oasis: Kitchen

What is Oasis:Kitchen?

Oasis Kitchen is small group cookery workshop over 6 to 8 weeks, aimed at increasing confidence and skills in the kitchen, alongside socialising and trying new foods.

It’s for anyone over 16, and runs several times each year, facilitated by Bath Mind’s “Food for Thought” team.   Each session is normally 3 hours.

You will discuss the meal for the day, any particular techniques or skills you will be learning, then together you will prepare a meal and eat together.  You can take any leftovers home!

Who will be there?

There is a maximum of 8 people taking part each time.

The sessions are facilitated by Anja and Lydia from Bath Mind’s Food for Thought team, who are experts in both cookery and mental health, and have a wealth of experience in creating sessions which are engaging, supportive and co-created with the participants.

What will we cook?

Anja and Lydia tailor each week’s planned meals based on what the group wants to learn and taste.

Some different areas which have been explored include Turkish food, curries, burgers, slow cooker recipes, low energy consumption meals and lots more.
