As a church, we want to walk alongside you in those moments, celebrating with you, grieving with you and holding space in whatever way you need to process, reflect and mark key life events with God and your loved ones. Weddings and Partnerships
For those who are part of Oasis Church Bath we can offer weddings, vow renewals, commitment services and relationship blessings. Due to our limited resources and capacity we regret we’re not able to offer this for those who aren’t already a regular part of our church community.
Dedications
For newborn babies, or children who haven’t been dedicated before, we can offer a short, informal dedication as part of a Sunday service. This is an opportunity to mark the arrival of a child, but also to commit to raising that child in a Christ-centered way, drawing on the help of God and the wider church.
Baptisms
As a Baptist church we love to baptise adults and young people who want to make the choice to get baptised. Baptism is an ancient ritual that helps us declare that we are following Jesus, and that in following Him we are being made new. At Oasis we baptise people through ‘full immersion’ which means we fully dunk people in water! We do this in our church building as we have our own baptistry.
Remembering
We can offer services that remember a loved one who has died – whether delivered as a funeral, memorial service or celebration of life.
There might also be a life event you want to mark in some way that isn’t covered by any of the more commonly known examples above and if that’s the case, do talk to us! Whether it’s a new job, stepping into a caring role, moving house, ending a relationship, moving away, changing your name to a name that better reflects your gender identity, a living funeral…we’re up for giving anything a try!
